We had a great time practicing various bo kata on Saturday the 25th: Chonokun, Shioshi Nokun Ni, Shima Igiri Bo Ni, and Tokumine Nokun Ni. On Sunday the 26th we grinded through all 5 sai kata, two tonfa kata and our two k**a kata. Discussed bunkai for all throughout the weekend! Great experience for all who attended. Kyle Roy was also awarded his Godan at the end of the training yesterday!!!

Get to London for the weekend of July 24-26 and learn much Authentic Okinawan Kobudo: 4 bo kata on Saturday and many Sai, Tonfa and K**a kata on Sunday.
There is a Meet and Greet Dinner at the Mandarin on Wellington on Friday the 24th from 7pm - 9pm. Videos and memories of Master Odo and subsequent training will be shared!

I was going through some stored items from years ago and came across this old shirt. Mike Kriegisch had this shirt made for Master Odo's following back in 2002 shortly after Hanshi Odo's passing. On the front a great pic of Master Odo performing a technique from Nakamura No Sai, and on the back a list of Dojo that supported this initiative... This year's July gathering is that much more significant because we will be performing short weapons on Master Odo's 100th Birthday!!!

Come and learn some significant Self Defense and Jiu Jitsu strategy! We're heading to the Mandarin restaurant on Hyde Park Road afterwards (reservation: 4:45 for the IJJN) :)
