It was an honour and a privilege to attend the commemoration ceremony on Friday afternoon with their honours, Indigenous leaders and other honoured guests.

We at the Newfoundland Bronze Foundry are immensely proud of our very own Sheila Coultas. Her exceptional talent and dedication have resulted in a truly remarkable creation. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!

A wonderful evening at The Rooms. Just two of the very special moments. Minister of Veterans Affairs, Ginette Petitpas Taylor presented Morgan with the Minister’s challenge coin and Morgan presented the Minister with a replica bronze Forget Me Not. And Morgan presenting General (R) Rick Hillier with a replica bronze Forget Me Not.

We've been busy working hard and getting ready for a special July 1st ceremony which will welcome home one of ours. We are looking forward to what will be a moving, historic and emotional ceremony as we dedicate and pay respect to Newfoundland and Labrador's Unknown Soldier. We are reminded that this soldier of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment is returning home after more than one hundred years overseas. He knew these shores, this place, and could have grown up in any of the bays or inlets that mark this land. He could be any one of our family members. This soldier represents all those who have sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation and served so long ago on behalf of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
