From Lloydminster to the World Stage 🇨🇦🌍

This summer, Charlie Johnston and Mea Gee had the honour of representing Team Canada at the Dance World Cup in Ireland, an unforgettable experience shared with more than 11,500 dancers from 60 countries.

After a competitive audition process through World Performers Canada, both dancers were selected for all five teams they auditioned for, an incredible achievement that reflects years of dedication and exceptional training.

Their week in Ireland was filled with remarkable moments:
🥇 Gold Medal – Contemporary Group
🥉 Bronze Medal – Junior Showstopper (a special routine bringing together dancers from across Canada)
🌎 Performing and competing with the world's top young dancers
🤝 Making lifelong friendships while exchanging pins and souvenirs with dancers from dozens of countries
🎓 Participating in masterclasses led by internationally renowned choreographers and educators

While medals are exciting, the greatest reward was the opportunity to grow, both as dancers and as young people. Experiences like Dance World Cup remind us that excellence isn't just about winning, it's about having the courage to step onto the world's biggest stages, learn from the very best, and represent your country with integrity.

Congratulations to one of our graduates, Alisha Miskie, for receiving the National Student Achievement Award through the CDTA ❤️

This prestigious award recognizes dancers who have successfully completed every CDTA examination from Grade One through Advanced in their discipline. Alisha earned this incredible achievement in Ballet, and we couldn't be more proud.

From her very first classes to her final exams, Alisha approached every opportunity with commitment, perseverance, and a genuine love for learning. She set ambitious goals for herself, worked tirelessly to achieve them, and embraced every challenge along the way. Watching her grow into the dancer and person she is today has been an honour.

👉For dancers who are interested in pursuing their goals, CDTA examinations provide a structured path to develop strong technical skills, confidence, discipline, and nationally recognized achievements. These opportunities can even contribute toward high school credits for eligible students in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
