There are still so many places I haven't explored right here at home.

I sometimes think we get so used to where we live that we forget to be a tourist in our own backyard.

There are beautiful trails we haven't walked, little towns we haven't wandered through, restaurants we've never tried, markets we've never visited, and places we've driven past a hundred times without ever stopping.

So I'm putting together my own little Lower Mainland bucket list, and I'd love some recommendations.

What's one place in Vancouver, the Fraser Valley or somewhere nearby that you think every woman should experience at least once?

It could be a beautiful walk, a favourite café, a restaurant, a garden, a little day trip, a hidden gem, or simply somewhere you love spending a Saturday afternoon.

And don't just tell me the obvious places. I'm looking for the spots that you would recommend to a friend.

Where should I go next? 👇

I'm taking notes! 😊

One of the things I love about getting older is realizing that some things just aren't worth worrying about anymore.

When we're younger, we can spend so much time worrying about what other people think, trying to please everyone, comparing ourselves to others, or feeling like we should have everything figured out by a certain age.

But somewhere along the way, many of us start to see things differently.

Maybe we care a little less about being perfect and a little more about being happy. Maybe we say no more easily. Maybe we don't feel the same need to explain ourselves. Or maybe we finally realize that our lives don't have to look like anyone else's.

I'm curious...

What's something you care much less about now than you did 10 or 20 years ago?

I'd love to hear your answers. I have a feeling there will be some good ones in the comments! ❤️

Meet my morning walking crew! 🐾

Today, my friend Monica bravely agreed to test-drive Bella and Snoopy on their morning walk. One is a princess, the other is always busy snooping… so I wished her luck! 😂

A little fresh air, good company, and two dogs who keep life interesting. ❤️

Can we talk about making friends after 40s, 50s, 60s? I think it's something we don't talk about nearly enough.

As we get older, life changes in so many ways. Careers change, children grow up, people move, relationships change, and our priorities aren't always the same as they were 10 or 20 years ago. Sometimes, without even realizing it, our circle of friends becomes a little smaller.

And then one day, we find ourselves thinking, “I really miss having people to just do life with.”

Someone to meet for coffee. Someone to go for a walk with. Someone to laugh with, share a story with, or simply sit and talk about what's happening in our lives.

But making new friends as an adult isn't always easy. Where do you even start?

Maybe we need to stop waiting for friendships to just happen and create more opportunities to meet one another. A coffee, a walk, a hike, a dinner, or simply sitting down and having a good conversation can be the beginning of something meaningful.

I would love to hear from you. Have you found that making new friendships has become harder as you've gotten older? Or have you met someone new in recent years who has become an important part of your life?

If you're a woman 40+ in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley, that's part of what we're hoping to create here: a place where women can connect, meet new people, share experiences, and hopefully find a few new friends along the way. ❤️

It’s Friday. Let’s talk about YOU for a minute. ❤️

The weekend is here, and I’m curious…

If you could do one thing just for yourself this weekend, what would it be?

☕ Sit somewhere with a good coffee and no agenda
🥾 Go for a walk or explore somewhere new
🍷 Meet a friend for a glass of wine
📚 Stay home and read
💃 Go out and have some fun
🌿 Spend some time in nature
😴 Do absolutely nothing 😂
✨ Something completely different

There’s no right answer.

Sometimes taking care of ourselves means doing something exciting.

Sometimes it means putting our phone away, getting into comfy clothes and doing absolutely nothing.

So tell me…What does your ideal weekend look like? 👇

And if you're a woman 40+ in the Vancouver, Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley area, you're welcome here. We’re creating a space to connect, make new friendships, share experiences and enjoy this stage of life together. ❤️

Have a beautiful weekend, ladies! 🥰

Women in business carry more than most people see. The visibility, the confidence, the constant reinvention, the discipline of showing up even when it is hard.

This October, I am proud to sponsor She Blossoms in Business 2026, a summit by BC Women's Business Network

It is a full day built to help women be seen, be heard, and grow their businesses. The program covers practical ground, including digital marketing, social media, and podcasting, alongside the things that are harder to teach and just as essential: confidence, connection, and a community of women who understand the work.

Growth rarely happens in isolation. Rooms like this one matter because they remind us we are not building alone.

If you lead a business, or you are thinking about starting one, this is a day worth making space for.

A lovely start to our Ageless Thriving Connections monthly get-togethers! 💙

This morning, Loraine and I enjoyed a wonderful stroll along part of the Fort-to-Fort Trail in Fort Langley, followed by a sumptuous brunch at the Trails End Café. Great conversation, fresh air, good food… I call that a successful morning! 😊

Our Ageless Thriving Connections community is FREE to join, and these monthly get-togethers are all about getting out, connecting, trying something different and enjoying life together.

If you’re already a member, invite a friend or share the group with someone you think would enjoy being part of our community. The more, the merrier!

And now I’d love your input: What should we do for our next monthly get-together? A walk? Coffee? Lunch? A local outing? Something completely different?

Drop your ideas in the comments. 👇 I’d love to hear them!

The timeline you never chose!

Are you measuring your life against a timeline you never actually chose?

So many of us carry a quiet sense that we should be further along by now. That by this point, things should look a certain way. And when they do not, we feel behind.

But whose timeline is that, really?

Most of the "shoulds" we carry were handed to us. We never sat down and chose them. And you are allowed to put them down.

Your life is not late. It is yours. And this chapter holds more possibility than the timeline ever accounted for.

If you are ready to stop measuring and start living a little more on your own terms, come find your people. Ageless Thriving Connections is a free community for exactly that.

What is one "should" you are ready to let go of?

Can I share something personal? 💙

It's been a little while since I last popped on here, and there's a reason for that.

The past few weeks have reminded me of what's truly important, and yesterday, something happened that touched my heart and gave me a renewed sense of purpose.

If you've ever felt like you're craving more meaningful connection, I think this message might resonate with you.

I'd love for you to watch, and if it speaks to your heart, let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear from you. 💙
