The Westshore chapter had another great run around Thetis! It’s been so nice to have the daylight to run on trails. Next up is our Monday run :)

It’s the last week of August! Can you believe that?? We absolutely cant…. so on Monday, we soaked up the last bits of the august sun on the waterfront☀️🕶️

Up next this week: our Wednesday run in the Westshore, and Thursday at PKOLS!

Emma led us through the trees of PKOLS and up to the best views in town, with a mandatory stop at the Rake And Radish Farm farm stand! The best run through the warm summer air!! Trail runs happen every week until end of September, then we’ll be transitioning to weekend adventure runs to take advantage of the daylight! If you haven’t come out yet, join us next week!!

Our next run is at Moka House on Cook St at Monday at 6:00pm. Have a great weekend 🥳⭐️❤️🫶🏼😎

Monday crew got out for a jaunt and met up at Gorge Pavillon! We moved, grooved, and zoomed and had so much fun chatting and running around - I mean, look at those smiles 😃

Our next run is tonight in the Westshore at 5:30pm, PKOLS on Thursday at 6pm, and then we’re back at Moka House on Monday at 6pm 🥰🥳

An evening between the trees and on the trails! We were met with the evening light at PKOLS and ran around the base, with a stop for the perfect view! Big smiles all around, for our summer highlight!!!

On Monday, we got out and moved, grooved, and zoomed along the waterfront! The water looked so beautiful, we just wanted to jump in and swim around! Speaking of swimming, Robyn had an awesome question of the day “if you could swim in anything that wasn’t water, what would it be?” Some of those answered included:
🍝 spaghetti noodles
☁️ clouds
🫙 brine
🍨ice cream
🧋 boba tapioca pearls
🥛Cheerios and milk
🍾 carbonated water or something bubbly!

What would you swim in??

Our next run is Thursday at PKOLS at 6pm meeting at the Beach Parking lot near the washrooms! Route is out!

Blackberry picking by the ocean? What could possibly be better than that?? Our question of the day “your favourite warm up stretch” and we had the classic quad stretch, calf stretch and “shoo the chickens” haha! We ran from Saxe point to Macaulay Point, and stopped for a mid-run Blackberry snack! We’ll be coming back to this new route in the future!

✌🏼AUGUST SCHEDULE ✌🏼

This month is full of good vibes 🪩🎶🎧 so let’s get outside while the sun shines and run these streets! If you’re training for a fall race, now’s the time to join VQRC for some of those runs!

🪩Mondays: we’ll be running all month long starting at 6pm, alternating between Moka House on Cook Street, and a few fun runs in Esquimalt at Saxe Point, Gorge Pavillion and Oak Bay Track. See the next slide for details!

🪩Westshore Wednesdays: the Westshore qu**rs will be running and walking on August 12,19, and 26th, starting at 5:30pm!

🪩PKOLS Trail Runs: hey trail runners, now is a great time to kick your feet in the trails and cool down between the trees! We’ll be meeting at 6pm at PKOLS Beach Parking Lot for a loop around PKOLS!

The week has flown by, and we’re so excited to get back on the trails tonight! We’re meeting at 6pm in the PKOLS beach parking lot, for a run around the base of PKOLS roughly around a 6km run. We welcome all runners and their abilities for a jaunt through the woods! This run is a ‘no drop’ run, so no one gets left behind! See you tonight!

Last night we had our VQRC Westshore birthday celebration! We had a lovely walk around Thetis lake, and then came together for some bracelet making and safety pin beading! ✌🏼🥰💛
