As Week 8 comes to an end, it’s time to say goodbye to Coach Paul! 🇪🇸🇫🇷🏒

Paul heads back to Spain to spend some well-deserved time with family before making his way back to France for his 6th professional season, this year with the Épinal Wildcats.

Coach Paul was a huge addition to the GR8 Summer Training Program, both on and off the ice. His experience, energy, and passion for the game made a real impact on our athletes, helping develop, guide, and push them to become better players every day.

We want to thank Coach Paul for his dedication, professionalism, and everything he brought to GR8 this summer.

Best of luck this season, Paul! Go have a great year with the Wildcats — we’re already looking forward to having you back with the GR8 family next summer! 💪🏒

The President’s Cup is coming to GR8 Athletics.

Alonso Gosselin is stopping by with the LHJMQ championship trophy and we couldn’t be prouder. We’ve had the privilege of training Alonso since he was 10 years old, and watching him lift this cup is everything our program is about.

This trophy carries serious GR8 history. Both Coach Stefano Giliati (Lewiston Maineiacs) and Coach Luca Ciampini (Halifax Mooseheads) have their names engraved on it as champions. 🥇

Come see it up close, take some photos, and meet the people behind the dream. Everyone’s welcome.

Our GR8 Athletics family is heartbroken.

Our founder Luca Ciampini and his wife Arielle have suffered the unimaginable, the loss of their beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Ava, in a tragic accident. She was pure joy, and she will be loved and remembered always.

As Luca and Arielle grieve while caring for their baby boy, Milan, our community has come together to take one weight off their shoulders. We’re raising funds to help cover Ava’s funeral and memorial expenses, and to support the family through the hardest chapter of their lives.

We’re extremely proud to officially announce the Montreal GR8s — our new hockey teams joining the GMHL family! 💪🔥
Led by Stefano Giliati, a 15-year professional player, and Luca Ciampini, a Memorial Cup champion, the Montreal GR8s bring championship pedigree, elite-level experience, and a true passion for developing the next generation of hockey players.
Stefano and Luca have built their careers at the highest levels of the game, and they’re bringing every bit of that experience to the ice. Combined with the year-round, high-performance training infrastructure of Gr8 Athletics, the GR8s will offer a development model no other youth program in the region can match.
The Montreal GR8s will call LaSalle, Kahnawake, and Southwest Montreal home — bringing premier-level hockey to a region that has long deserved its own elite program.
