Richmound is looking to grow more than vegetables with a new year-round community greenhouse project.

The Grow Together initiative is raising about $150,000 for a geodesic dome greenhouse aimed at improving food security, creating volunteer opportunities and supporting surrounding food banks with excess produce.

The Saskatoon Hilltops are heading west with a little payback in mind.

The 2-1 Hilltops will face the Edmonton Wildcats this weekend after Edmonton handed Saskatoon its first loss of the season earlier this month. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. MDT in Sherwood Park.

A missing person was found safe and a boat taking on water was successfully towed during two separate incidents at Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park.

RCMP, conservation officers and park staff responded to both calls on Aug. 26, with no injuries reported.

A Rosetown entrepreneur is being recognized for her leadership and business growth across Saskatchewan.

Sarah Johnston, founder and CEO of Atlas York Insurance, has been named a WESK Women Entrepreneur of the Year Honouree in the Rooted and Rising category.

Her company now operates in Rosetown, Dodsland, Coleville and Saskatoon.

A new grain delivery option is opening in West Central Saskatchewan.

JGL Commodities will begin accepting grain Monday at its newly acquired Marengo elevator, which offers about 22,000 tonnes of storage and a 104-car rail spot.

The company says familiar staff will remain at the facility as it works to build relationships with local producers.

A man wanted in connection with an aggravated assault in North Battleford has been arrested.

RCMP say Tristan Honch Rosendahl was taken into custody by Regina Police Service on Aug. 27. He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Aug. 31.

Goose Festival season is almost here in Kindersley!
