Last week, I share that my life burnout is back. So, I'm taking a few days off to rest. I'll be back on Tuesday for resiliBOD (no classes on Monday because of the holiday!).
Remember - we all deserve to rest. It helps us with our physical and mental health, among many other benefits. Even just a few minutes a day can help.
Be kind to yourselves! 💜

I frequently reference random things from my childhood to describe some moves. Two of them are pictured here.
But this got me thinking - what are some of your favourite childhood games or toys that could inspire future moves? Share them in the comments below, maybe it will become the next fun move!
*You don't need to come up with the moves themselves.

Did you know that foods grown right here in the Annapolis Valley can help us stay hydrated during those extra hot days?
Having foods on hand that are made up of a significant amount of water make a great snack AND offer an alternative to drinking water if it's not your favourite beverage. Whether they're cold or hot, these foods can also help regulate body temperature. And the best part? There's a lot more than 5 options to choose from!
For me, berries and tomatoes are my go to. But recently, watermelon has become a favourite, as well!
What are some of your favourite locally-grown, hydrating foods?

There is nothing the diet and fitness industry loves more than promoting the "cure-all, one-stop-shop" of weight loss in the form of GET YOUR SUMMER BODY!
The truth is the math is simple: having a body + the summer = having a summer body.
The idea that you have to transform yourself for the summer is one of many harmful messages the traditional fitness industry has imparted on us for decades. It leads to a false sense of value, health, and self. In many cases these weight loss "fail-proof" programs cause long-term eating disorders and poor relationships with food.
What diet culture doesn't want you to believe is that a) we are all capable of many incredible things, regardless of the shape or size of our bodies and b) diets just don't work.
So, live your life - it's short enough as it is. Move in ways that work for you and feel good.
