The club is getting ready to start a new year. We are looking for people who are interested in playing tennis.

No matter your age or skill level, there will be someone on the other side of the court to play tennis with. We are looking forward to a great year and a fun summer.

Attention Kemptville Tennis Club Members,

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the sad news of the passing of our friend, coach, and long-time member of the Kemptville Tennis Club, Rob.

For more than 13 years, Rob was an important part of our tennis community. He generously gave his time coaching children at our tennis camps, organizing Men's Doubles, and welcoming players of all ages and abilities. Beyond his many contributions to the club, Rob was simply a wonderful person whose kindness, enthusiasm, and friendship touched so many of us.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Kemptville Tennis Club will be working with Rob's family and the Municipality to create a fitting memorial to recognize his lasting contributions to our club and our community. We will share more information as plans are finalized.

I am truly sorry to be the bearer of such heartbreaking news, but I wanted our members to hear it as soon as possible.

Please keep Rob's family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Tennis Camp Participants!

Edit: 10am is a go! See you all bright eyed and bushy tailed on the courts!

Unfortunately, due to this morning's rainfall, the courts are quite wet. From a safety perspective, and to keep our courts in good shape, we regrettably have to cancel the 9am camp session.

With regards to the 10am group, we will provide another update shortly.

Well, we stayed dry this morning on the courts for Day 4 of Tennis 2026!
Just a reminder to everyone - we will be taking our end of camp photo tomorrow!
9am group - please stick around after so that we can get everyone in!
10am group - if you can arrive a few minutes early so that we can get everyone organized, that would be greatly appreciated!
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for Day 5 of KCTC 2026 Tennis Camp!

Twas the night before tennis camp
And all through the house,
Were tennis rackets and running shoes
Strewn all about.

Thats right folks, tomorrow is Day 1 of The KCTC 2026 TENNIS CAMP!

A few helpful hints:

1. Do NOT forget your water! A refillable water bottle is best. We all know how hot its been lately and it can be even hotter on the courts!

2. Check your email! Coach Jim will have sent you an email confirming groups for tomorrow. Being organized gets everyone playing sooner!

3. Parents, chairs are welcome on the sidelines (and encouraged as there is little seating), but please keep the extras to a minimum. Keeping the courts uncluttered keeps everything moving smoothly!

4. Most of all, HAVE FUN!! Yes, we are here to up our tennis skills and learn, but none of that is accomplished unless we are having fun doing it!

We are in for another amazing week of drills, skills and tennis thrills! See you on thr courts!

Stay Safe on the Courts This Summer!

With this incredibly hot weather upon us, we'd like to remind everyone to take a few extra precautions before heading out to play.

Extreme heat can increase the risk of dehydration and heat-related illness, even during recreational matches. Please take a moment to review our heat safety infographic before your next game.

A few simple reminders:
- Bring a water bottle to the court and drink regularly.
- Wear light-coloured, breathable clothing and a hat or visor.
- Take breaks in the shade whenever possible.
- Consider playing during the cooler parts of the day.
- Watch out for your fellow players and don't ignore signs that someone may be struggling with the heat.
- We are fortunate enough to have the splash pad just a short walk away - if you find yourself getting too hot, it's a quick and accessible way to cool down.

If you or another player develops confusion, slurred speech, stops sweating, or loses consciousness, call 911 immediately.

Let's all do our part to keep our tennis community safe while enjoying the game we love.
Have fun, stay hydrated, and we'll see you on the courts!
