✨ ENERGY AS CURRENCY ✨
Yoga & Sacred Money Archetypes®

Saturday, September 19 | 9:00–11:00 AM
📍 Kelowna Yoga Hub

Money is not the goal. Freedom is.

Money isn’t just something we manage — it’s something we relate to through our body, nervous system, and sense of worth.

Join Janet Kendrick for a 2-hour experiential workshop blending gentle yoga, guided reflection, somatic awareness, and the Sacred Money Archetypes® assessment.

Together, you’ll explore your unique money archetypes and the patterns that may shape how you experience safety, giving, receiving, self-trust, and worthiness.

What to Expect:
• Complete the Sacred Money Archetypes® assessment
• Discover your top archetypal patterns
• Gentle yoga to connect these patterns to the body
• Reflection & discussion — sharing is always optional
• Grounded integration to carry your insights forward

This is a body-based, inclusive experience open to all genders and the wider community. No prior yoga or money archetype experience is needed.

Come as you are. Curiosity is enough. 🤍

Why the Psoas Matters

The psoas is often called the "muscle of the soul" which isn't just a poetic name. It's one of the only muscles in the body that directly connects your spine to your legs, running from the lower back, through the pelvis, to the top of the femur. That means it plays a role in almost everything: walking, standing tall, stabilizing the spine, even breathing.

But here's the part most people don't know: the psoas is also deeply tied to your nervous system. It sits close to the diaphragm and is wired into the fight-or-flight response. When you're stressed, anxious, or in "go mode," the psoas contracts because it's part of the primal instinct to curl inward and protect the body. The problem is, most of us don't release that tension afterward. Add in hours of sitting (car, desk, couch), and the psoas stays short and tight for most of the day, every day.

Over time, a chronically tight psoas can contribute to:
-Low back pain and stiffness
-Poor posture (that forward hip tilt/anterior pelvic tilt)
-Shallow breathing
-Restricted hip mobility
-A lingering sense of physical "holding" or tension, even at rest

Stretching and releasing the psoas isn't just about flexibility, it can help signal to your nervous system that it's safe to relax, supporting that shift from sympathetic (stress) to parasympathetic (rest) state. That's why psoas work is often paired with slow breathing: the muscle and the breath are neighbors, and calming one helps calm the other.

A few minutes of intentional psoas stretching, like the standing variation Rina showed, can help unwind both the physical tightness and some of that stored tension, especially if you sit a lot or notice your stress showing up as a tight lower back or hips.
