Class last night at the Kanata Aikikai, including a future student
Awesome class tonight at the Aikikai, two visitors, Chris from Connecticut and Diego from Italy. It was great meeting both of them, and having the opportunity to train with them. Thank you both for visiting our dojo.
The Kanata Aikikai will be hosting a one day seminar to celebrate its 40th anniversary on Saturday February 22nd, with a celebration dinner at a local restaurant that evening.

Sunset tonight at Sandbanks. It's middle of July weather.
I am throwing a question out to my community of Aikidoists.
This February will be the 40th anniversary of my dojo, the Kanata Aikikai. To celebrate this event I would like to host a one day seminar and a dinner. The issue in Ottawa is always the same however, I can rent a space, but have no idea where I can obtain enough mats to rent for the weekend. If anyone has any ideas at all where I can rent mats suitable for this event, as far away as Montreal, please let me hear your suggestions. Thank you.
The Kanata Aikikai will be celebrating Kagami Biraki tomorrow evening, Wednesday January 10th. Class starts at 6:00, I hope to see all the members of the Kanata Aikikai there to help celebrate the new year and renew our commitment to our training.
