You asked for it! We’re bringing back our Trail Clinic with a little added spice this fall! 🌶️🍂

It will be a little different than our past clinics. Clint will be partnering up with Dino Aracki from Runners Sole and Brad Young from Diverse Training Centre. There will be a focus on trail running, strength-training and community building.

Join us Thursday nights from September 24 to November 12 for eight weeks of trail running fun!

To celebrate it all, we’ll wrap things up with a fun mini enduro event! More details and registration information are coming soon.

THE VIEWS ARE WORTH THE CLIMB. Every. Single. Time.

From Raven’s Roost to the top of Ridge Trail—and across the whoop-de-doos of the Doc Findlay climbs—the Walk in the Park course delivers some of our favourite views in Kamloops.

From each vantage point, you can look out over the North Thompson River and the beautiful city we’re lucky enough to call home.

Yes, you’ll have to work for these views—but that makes them even better. Take a breath, look around and remember exactly why you signed up for this adventure. 🐐

Which view is your favourite?

The Reservoir Aid Station is getting the full RUNClub treatment! 🎉

Our RUNClub family will be ready to refill water bottles, serve up snacks and refreshments, and send every runner back onto the course with some extra-loud cheering!

This crew understands the runner experience. They know how much a little encouragement can mean when the legs are tired and they’ll make sure every runner feels supported, celebrated and included, just like they do at RUNClub. ❤️

Looking for a run crew that welcomes every pace and every runner? Check out the RUNClub Fall Clinic starting September 13!

Thank you, RUNClub, for bringing your incredible community spirit to Walk in the Park! 🐐

THE LEGENDS ARE COMING BACK. 🐐

Some people run Walk in the Park once.
Others make it part of who they are.

This year, we're honoured to welcome back some incredible members of the Walk in the Park family:

🔥 Diane McKelvie is set to complete her 21st Walk in the Park 50km.
🏅 Andy Bachman returns looking to earn his coveted 10X Legends belt buckle in 2026.
💪 Liam Doyle will toe the line for his 9th Walk in the Park 50km, moving one step closer to joining the Legends.

For 33 years, this race has been about more than kilometres.

It's about traditions.
It's about community.
It's about earning your place in Walk in the Park history.

Every first-time 50km finisher starts the same way—with a single finish line.

Five finishes earns you your own Veteran's bib, a race number that's yours forever.

Ten finishes earns you a Legends belt buckle that tells everyone exactly what you've accomplished.

The question is...

Where will your story begin?

The Trick or Trail course maps are LIVE! 🎃

And because we like to keep things tricky… the 5K is actually closer to 6K. Surprise!

It’s a fun, flowy route featuring mostly double track, some single track, a few technical sections and one or two punchy climbs to wake up your legs.

Looking for a bigger scare? The 15K delivers a challenging course packed with mostly single track, technical terrain and a wee bit of elevation.

Both routes come together for the final haunting stretch:

👻 A trip through the Spooky Hollow
🍬 A candy and dance-party pit stop at the Cabin
🎭 A finish-line costume parade
🏆 Prizes and plenty of post-race fun

Choose your distance, plan your costume and prepare to run into the night on October 24.

Heading out fasted might feel easier first thing in the morning or right after work, but it often leads to lower energy, reduced performance, and harder recovery later. For women, fasted exercise can wreak havoc on hormones.

Even a small amount of fuel can make a big difference.

Simple place to start: If you haven’t eaten a full meal within the last two hours, eat something 30–90 minutes before your run, like a banana, toast, or yogurt, especially for runs over 45–60 minutes.

Keep handy snacks like granola bars, dried fruit, or pretzels in your car console to eat while you drive to the trailhead.

Each Sunday leading up to Walk in the Park, Amanda will be sharing nutrition tips for runners!

We want you ready for Kamloops favorite trail race on September 6!

Let us know how your training is going! We want to hear from YOU!

For the past 24 years, Runners Sole has proudly sponsored Walk in the Park, supporting one of Kamloops’ most iconic trail running events through nearly three-quarters of its 33-year history.

This event is especially close to home because the Race Directors happen to be our very own sales associate, Paula Sword, and her husband, Clint! This will be their third year bringing Walk in the Park to Kamloops, and we’re incredibly proud to support the welcoming, adventurous community they continue to build through Sole Pursuit Running.

Over the years, Walk in the Park has welcomed thousands of participants, from first-time trail runners and power hikers to seasoned ultramarathoners. It is a true Kamloops trail experience!

Here’s to another incredible year on the trails. We’ll see you at the start line on September 6!
