Kamloops Curling Club

The Kamloops Curling Club has been invited by the Kamloops Sports Council to help support RibFest, taking place August 6 –10.

RibFest raises funds that directly support local sports organizations, and our participation demonstrates the Kamloops Curling Club's commitment to both the Kamloops Sports Council and the broader sporting community.

We're looking for volunteers to sign up for as many 3 or 4-hour shifts as you are able. Volunteers will be stationed at the entrance to the parking area, helping ensure that access is limited to RibFest staff and volunteers. A shaded area will be provided, and the Kamloops Sports Council will supply water/snacks/meals throughout your shift.

In addition to supporting a great cause, the club will receive an honorarium based on the total number of volunteer hours contributed.

Responses need to be submitted before noon on JULY 24TH by clicking the link below. You will receive more detail and instruction before your scheduled time.

👏 Congratulations to Dianne Barker on being inducted into the 2026 BC Curling Hall of Fame! 🥌🎉

From competitive curler to one of Canada's most respected officials, Dianne has dedicated decades to the sport.

A provincial, national, and international umpire, she has also served in countless volunteer leadership roles with the Kamloops Curling Club, Curl BC, and Curling Canada—helping shape the game both on and off the ice.

Her extraordinary service was further recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal, honouring her outstanding contributions to curling and to Canada.

Congratulations, Dianne, on this well-deserved honour and your lifelong dedication to curling! 💙💛
