🚁 The water may be (mostly) gone, but it certainly left its mark.
A bird’s-eye view of what our team has been tackling over the past few weeks. There’s a whole lot of mud, dirt and cleanup between us and ski season, but it feels pretty good to see ground where there was once water.
There’s plenty of work ahead, but the crew is digging in, and we’re staying hopeful for the winter ahead! ❄️💙

Triple sure knows how to put on a sunset.
A pretty nice view, and an even nicer little break from all the flood recovery content lately.
We’ll take more evenings like this, please. 🧡
🐻 Progress below the Bear Chair!
Lots of mud? Yep. Lots of debris? Definitely. But thankfully, not a lot of water anymore! 🙌
There’s still plenty of work ahead, but we’re getting there.

🔧 Progress continues!
The pumphouse is down, pumps and motors are off for rebuilding, and cleanup has finally begun.
Water levels are still sitting about three feet higher than normal, so there’s plenty of work ahead, but it feels good to finally be moving forward. 👏🏼

⛏️ As if the team didn’t have enough on their plate…
This week’s surprise? Finding (and fixing) a kink in the gas line to restore service to the Main Chalet.
Just another item to add to the ever-growing post-flood to-do list. Great work Outdoor Ops team!! 👏🏼👏🏼
🌊 Update – Tuesday, July 28: We’re finally in!
Our team is now able to safely access the flooded areas and officially begin cleanup and assessment.
While there’s still a long road ahead, today is a big step forward. Thank you for all the support over the past few weeks. We’ll get there! 💪🏼

🌊🐶 Just another flood recovery side quest…
Among everything our team has been dealing with this week, taking a boat out to retrieve a floating grain bin wasn’t exactly on the list.
For those who don’t know, the “Dog House” is the grain bin that protects our snowmaking valves near the river. With water levels higher than we’ve ever seen, it decided to take an unexpected trip across Lake of the Prairies.
Thankfully, the crew tracked it down and brought it safely back to shore!
Just another day at Asessippi.
🌊 July 3 Update: The river is finally beginning to drop!
While that’s encouraging news, the last 24 hours have been incredibly hard on the valley. Powerful waves and floodwaters have washed away much of our pump infrastructure and left significant damage behind.
For perspective:
📈 June 10 Flood Peak: 155 m³/s
📈 July 2/3 Flood Peak: 258 m³/s
This flood surpassed the June event by a significant margin.
We’re continuing to assess the damage, remain hopeful, and appreciate all the support we’ve received. 💙
