Highwood Current Swim Club Home HIGHWOOD CURRENT is a year-round swim club based in High River, AB. We offer high quality pre-competitive (skill building) and competitive swimming programs for children and youth in the High River, Okotoks, and greater Foothills area. Swimmers who attended our first long course meet of the season!

This was the first long course swim meet for the swimmers, for some the first time competing in a 50 meter pool!! The results were amazing!! 100% of personal best swims!!
Christian added to his list of Festival qualifying times in the 50m & 100m Freestyle, plus the 50m & 100m Breaststroke. Jenna achieved two Provincial Trial qualifying times in 50m Freestyle (breaking a club record) and the 50m Butterfly.
Taylor missed her first qualifying time by 0.62 of a second...so close!!

We had three swimmers achieve Festival qualifying times at the Fundamental swim meet held at the Calgary Winter Club on April 9. Christian and Logan continue to add to their list of times....
Christian achieved 2 new qualifying times in the 50 & 100 Freestyle events. Logan achieved is qualifying time in the 100m Individual Medley. Brienne T. is our newest qualifier! achieving times in the 50 & 100m Backstroke events.
Results will be posted soon for all the swimmers that attended the meet.

On March 12 & 13, Logan E and Christian C attended the Winter Festival South swim meet in Calgary. This meet is an introduction to Provincial level competition for the younger swimmers (10 & under girls, 11 & under boys). Swimmers can attend the meet once they've met one qualifying time.
Both swimmers had a great meet!
Logan continued to add to his list of qualifying events, he achieved the qualifying time in the 100 Breast, and set three new personal times in 3 other events.
Christian had 100% personal best swims, and achieved 3 new festival times.
Congratulations swimmers!!
