Medal Monday: Black Spur Ultra Edition 🌲
This weekend wasn't about seeking out suffering. It was about testing our biological efficiency and sharing true vitality with the next generation.
Jessica executed a massive day on the trails, finishing the 54k in 11:26:09. The work she puts in behind the scenes to fit training into the chaos of life pays off when the terrain gets relentless. This also was her 3rd ultra within 6 weeks!
A fun metric of the weekend, however, wasn't found on a GPS watch. It was watching the kids step up to the start line and discover their own capacity.
💥 Runa | 34:57
💥 Eirik | 39:02
💥 Braelyn | 34:55
Incredible work out there on the trails, Team Redde Endurance!

Unwritten Rules of the Trail, Pool & Road 🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️
Ever accidentally tapped someone’s foot in the lap lane or called out a pass a second too late on a tight single-track? Endurance sports have a steep learning curve, and the unwritten rules aren't always obvious to new or experienced athletes.
In Episode 18 of The Endurance Balance, Coach JW, Alicia, and Anne drop a friendly "what you don't know can help you" guide to keeping our community safe and smooth:
→ The Pool & Road: Demystifying circle swimming, toe-tapping etiquette, and how to safely hold your line in a paceline without half-wheeling.
→ Trail Rules: Why uphill runners always get the right-of-way, early vocal warnings, and Leave No Trace basics. →Transition Zone Triage: The 2x2 gear organization rule (stop using transition as a personal closet!) and honest swim seeding.
🎧 Episode 18 is live now on Spotify! Click the link in our bio to stream the full episode.

Medal Monday is landing on a Tuesday this week!
This past weekend, we took the REC philosophy north to the Spartan Kids Race in Red Deer, Alberta. Vitality is not just a concept for adults; it starts by building a robust biological baseline and a capacity for survival early on.
The roster wins for the next generation of Team Redde Endurance:
→ Eirik: Crushed the 1.5km course with a time of 13 mins 9 secs.
→ Runa: Tackled the 3km distance, crossing the line in 29 mins 13 secs.
They showed up, executed the work, and built their capacity. Extremely proud of the effort.

Sending big vibes out to Runa & Eirik as they take on the Spartan Kids race up in Red Deer tomorrow! 🏔️
Tackling obstacles at this age isn't about grinding or suffering. It is about building physical literacy, testing biological efficiency, and laying the groundwork for a lifetime of Vitality.
Go out there, solve the problems in front of you, and have the best race the course will give you! 💪💥
Have fun and crush it, kids! 🟢

The 2026 Canadian Death Race is officially in the books. 🏔️
It was an absolute privilege for Redde Endurance Coaching to be on the ground this year sponsoring the 3rd place Male, Female, and Mixed teams.
To everyone who stopped by the booth at the Expo and throughout the weekend: thank you. We had incredible conversations with athletes, support crews, and cheer squads. Seeing the raw ex*****on of the Circle of Success, the families and crews actively managing the chaos so the athletes could perform. This is exactly what true vitality looks like.
Showing up and starting a race of this magnitude requires an immense baseline of biological capacity, preparation, and sheer grit. Whether you crossed the finish line or listened to your biology and stopped early, you put in the work. You built resilience.
To every single athlete who toed the line: congratulations!

Medal Monday… on a Tuesday.
Sometimes fitting it into the chaos means the schedule shifts to accommodate real-life recovery. We adjust, execute, and keep moving forward.
Awesome weekend for Team Redde Endurance at the Canadian Death Race.
Jess tackled the Near Death Marathon (part of the Sinister Triple), proving her biological efficiency on a brutal course. She clocked in at 8:29:28.6, crushing her previous PB with a massive 36-minute PR.
Runa and Eirik crushed the Canadian Death Race Kids event, showing incredible resilience by running exceptionally well in the rain and cold. They crossed the line in 1:02:54.7 and 1:26:00.6.
We do not train just to suffer. We train for longevity and the capacity to show up for these exact moments. The Circle of Success was in full effect this weekend. Incredible work by the entire crew.
Drop a 👏 in the comments to congratulate the team.

Massive good vibes to Jessica as she toes the line for the Near Death Marathon at the Canadian Death Race this weekend!
This isn't a standalone effort. Three weeks ago she completed the Sinister 7 Ultra 53k, and in three weeks from now she will race the Black Spur Ultra 54k as she runs towards another Sinister Triple buckle.
Executing a schedule like this requires elite biological efficiency and a deep understanding of how to manage compounding fatigue.
Have the best race the course will give you, Jessica!
