Hammer the Harbour 2026🔨🚣

On Saturday, Leander partnered with RowOntario to host the inaugural Hammer the Harbour regatta. It was a great day with lots of close and competitive racing!

Thank you to all of the volunteers, umpires, coaches and athletes who supported the event and made for a fun day of racing!

A special thank you to Maple Tree Farm for their generous contribution of maple syrup for the winners of each event. Congrats to all the champions who got to bring home a bottle of their sweet maple syrup!🍁

Looking for a fun and active way to spend your summer?

Join us at Leander Boat Club for Summer Youth Rowing Camp! Open to ages 11+, our Monday-to-Friday camps run throughout July and August and are perfect for both beginners and experienced athletes.

Whether you're looking to try something new, stay active over the summer, or gain an edge in your primary sport through cross-training, rowing is a great way to build strength, endurance, teamwork, and confidence.

No experience is required. Come make new friends, challenge yourself, and enjoy time on the water!

Hammer the Harbour registration is live!

Don’t miss out on the inaugural Hammer the Harbour regatta on June 27th, co-hosted by Leander Boat Club and RowOntario.

This regatta features a unique multi-stage, small boat sprint racing format designed for exciting competition!

Heats will be determined by a 500m time trial and the resulting groupings will face off against each other for multiple rounds of close racing⚡️🚣🏼‍♀️

At Hammer the Harbour, every crew will start with a Time Trial to establish their ranking. From there, crews will be grouped by speed and advance through multiple rounds of racing against athletes of similar ability.
