Summertime means a new group of dancers are taking their next step on the NJADS Dancer Journey! 💜

This week, several of our dancers began training as NJADS Assistants, stepping into leadership roles as they learn what it means to inspire, encourage, and support the next generation of dancers.

Being an Assistant is about so much more than demonstrating steps. It's about building confidence, developing leadership skills, learning how to communicate with young dancers, and becoming a positive role model both inside and outside the studio.

Every great teacher starts somewhere, and we are so excited to watch these dancers grow throughout the summer as they begin this exciting new chapter.

Sophie has been part of the NJADS family since she was just 3 years old!

She began her dance journey in our recreational program and discovered a love for performing that continued to grow. In 2019, Sophie took the next step and joined our Competitive Team, where she has trained in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Pointe.

As she's grown, Sophie has become more than just a talented dancer. Through our Assistant Program, she has discovered a passion for helping our youngest dancers build confidence, improve their skills, and fall in love with dance—just like she did.

This is exactly why we created the NJADS Dancer Journey—a place where dancers can grow from their very first class, to the stage, to becoming leaders and role models for the next generation.

Watching Sophie grow into the dedicated, encouraging, and passionate young woman she is today has been an incredible privilege. We are so proud of you, Sophie! 💜
