Hockey Canada Foundation
2026-27 Assist Fund Season

The Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund will launch for its 7th season on August 1st, 2026. Applicants can apply through the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) through the Assist Fund Application page.

As a reminder, to apply for an assist, the applicant must be registered with a Hockey Canada sanctioned Minor Hockey Association and it must be attached to their HCR account.

NOTE: Historically this program's funding has run out quickly due to the high volume of applications received within the first week or two of opening. The earlier the application is submitted, the better the odds of being a successful applicant.

Mount Hamilton Minor Hockey Association is excited to once again partner with the Bauer First Shift to offer an introduction-to-hockey program for youth who are looking to take their first steps onto the ice. Registration opens Monday June 8th for the fall Coed program. MHMHA's welcome event is scheduled for November 10th and the first on ice session will be November 29th.
