Total Gusto ("Gus") is a black 2018 KWPN Dutch Warmblood gelding by GLOCK's Total U.S. (Totilas/Sir Donnerhall) out of a Tuschinski mare, carrying the legendary Totilas bloodline. Standing 17.2hh and imported from the Netherlands in 2021, Gus combines world-class breeding with an exceptional temperament that makes him a true barn favorite and a dream partner.
Gus is currently competing successfully at Third Level with an adult amateur rider, with scores in the 60s and is schooling Fourth Level movements at home. He has a successful competition record through the young horse classes in Ontario. Gus offers the quality, rideability, and trainability sought in a developing FEI prospect. His expressive gaits consistently earn scores of 7s and 8s, and his standout canter has been rewarded with a score of 10 in rated competition. He thrives in a professional program and can also be very well suited to an ambitious amateur looking for a talented partner with upper-level potential.
Equally impressive is his character. Gus is uncomplicated and easy to handle in every aspect of management—excellent for the veterinarian and farrier, self-loads on the trailer, stands and ties to be bathed and clipped and travels confidently to busy showgrounds and unfamiliar facilities. He is a joy to have in the barn and can easily be handled by all.
