The championship chase is heating up! Our Pro Late Models are back for another huge 50-lap feature as we get closer and closer to crowning the 2026 Showdown Series Champion!

Tonight, our Pure Stock competitors take centre stage for the Bob McClurkin Memorial, as we remember Bob and celebrate his impact on our racing community.

This weekend features Round #6 of the Flamboro Grisdale Showdown Series for the Pro Late Models, along with the Bob McClurkin Memorial for the Pure Stocks!

Practice – 4:45 PM

🔥 PURE STOCK TEAMS – PLEASE READ! 🔥

The starting lineups for the Pure Stock heat races will be determined by pill draw.

➡️ All Pure Stocks that competed at Flamboro Speedway on August 15th will be placed into starting positions ahead of any Pure Stocks that did not compete that night.

➡️ The TOP 5 finishers from each heat race will qualify for the Outlaw Re-Draw!

➡️ The 10 qualified drivers will take part in the Outlaw-style re-draw on the front stretch at intermission to determine their starting positions for the Bob McClurkin Memorial!

The Pro Late Models will also have a fan-pulled invert of 1–6 at intermission following group qualifying!

Drivers and teams, please review the full Pit Notes before arriving at the Speedway, including the one-way radio, safety equipment and transponder requirements.

The rain may have kept us quiet this past weekend, but Flamboro Speedway is ready to fire back up this Saturday, August 29th with another huge night of short-track racing!

🔥 ROUND #6 — FLAMBORO GRISDALE SHOWDOWN SERIES
The championship battle continues with just three rounds remaining! Our Pro Late Models return for a 50-lap showdown as every position and every point becomes more important heading toward the end of the season.

It’s also a special night for our Pure Stock competitors as we honour and remember Bob McClurkin with the annual Bob McClurkin Memorial.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has won this one.

With the current rain at Flamboro Speedway and the forecast calling for more unsettled weather throughout the day, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s racing program.

We know how much everyone was looking forward to NorHeat Treatment Night, featuring the Ontario Sportsman Series Precision Edge 100 presented by KAM Wire EDM Technologies, along with the Can-Am Midgets, Ontario Pro Challenge Series presented by NorHeat Treatment Inc., Klotz Auto Repair Mini Stocks, Hogan Law & McClurkin Properties of Cambridge Pure Stocks and Kids Bike Races.

We always want to give our competitors and fans as much notice as possible, especially with many teams travelling a considerable distance to race with us.

A huge thank you to all of our competitors, fans, sponsors and staff for their understanding and continued support.

We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast for tomorrow’s racing program at Flamboro Speedway.

With some unsettled weather in the forecast, we will keep a close eye on conditions overnight and will make a decision regarding tomorrow’s program in the morning.

We know teams and fans need as much notice as possible when making their plans, especially those travelling from out of town, so we’ll provide an update as soon as we can.

In the Pure Stocks, Spencer Riddell leads Chase Mitchell by just 5 points!
