McDonald Sports Park is situated on 130 acres of land dedicated to wooded and lakeside trails, a baseball field, beach volley ball court, & more!
Managed By the Waverley Amateur Athletic Association McDonald Sports Park is situated on 130 acres of crown land which is leased yearly from the Department of Natural Resources. The park has 7km's of trails, of which 2km border scenic Lake Thomas. During the winter, McDonald Sports Park is the home of the HRM based Martock Nordick Ski Club. The summer months are busy with LWF minor baseball league

Did anyone lose their tires at the park? If you did, please be aware that our volunteers must now spend their free time and use their own vehicles cleaning up this illegal dumping. PSA - tires can be dropped off for free at most major tire retailers, including Canadian Tire in Bedford.

Please remember to be considerate of our community assets. This recent damage from motorized vehicle will cost our community precious volunteer time ⏰ and money 💸 to repair.
Want to make a positive impact to your local park? Bin 🗑️ any trash you see on your travels and move any windfall sticks from the trail. Report major issues to the volunteer board of directors. Thank you to all the park users who help perform these tasks already 🏆!

Big changes are coming to beach volleyball 🏐 in McDonald Sports Park!😀
A group of volleyball enthusiasts from Fall River are in the process of upgrading the court from a single to a double, turning the whole works sideways, and adding lots of new sand. Work on the project began today and will continue through the week with a planned opening date to be announced in May.
We’ll keep you posted on the progress.

🎉 New Course Record 🎉
Massive congratulations to Joe Stewart who put on a amazing performance at yesterday’s Pick & Shovel Showdown. Running 15 laps (88.4KM) in 7:58:13 seconds, all while it was -16°c out 👏 👏
When Jason and I saw the weather we thought the record was safe but Joe had other plans. Joe will receive a $500 gift card to and we could not be happy to hand it over. What a show 👏
