What a phenomenal weekend of bowls at the club as we hosted the 3rd Annual Wanderers Open Pairs! The event brought together 12 teams from all over Nova Scotia and New Brunswick to battle it out for the largest prize purse in Nova Scotia lawn bowls!
Congrats to Steve Ogden and Vicki Balcom on winning this year’s championship in a 14-7 Flight final win over Lindsay LeFresne and Luke Guthro. In the A Flight Final, it was Mark Robar and Matt Sebastian who won top honours defeating John Siteman and Carissa Lynch 13-3. In the B Flight final, it was a hard fought victory for Don Murchy and Patti Granville over their clubmates Greg Heatherington and Kevin Stewart.
Thanks to Cameron Lefresne and Mark Singer for organizing the event, John Siteman for doubling as official scorer, the many volunteers who assisted with the meals and helping the players out and to HRM Parks and Recreation for having the green in the best condition of the year- which led to top class bowls all weekend long!
