The dancing did not stop on the weekend! Ivy and a Breagh danced at the Antigonish Highland Games with Ivy getting four gold medals and Breagh earning 3rd runner up in the premiership. Alumni dancer Andrea who lives in Sydney now danced her first premiership and earned 5th runner up. Breagh and Alex also danced in the parade with the RCMP H Division. Such an action packed but fun weekend. Congratulations dancers

At the beginning of July, Callie had the opportunity to perform with the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Dance Team! This was Callie’s third time being part of the dance team. Because one SDCCS post was simply not enough! Lovely to spend time with our dance family. Also, not only did Ivy dance two days but she also helped out constantly including with awards

What a whirlwind of a week at SDCCS 2026. Its been a busy week but here are some highlights:
💙 Breagh placing 6th in the international broadswords and earning a 1st, 7th and 10th in highlands
💙 Emma receiving a call back in the jig and representing team NS at the Canadian Championships
💙 Lauren earned two 5th in the highlands, a 5th in the nationals and 1st, 3rd and 5th in the pre championship
💙 Callie earned a 2nd in the highlands, a 3rd, 6th and 8th in the nationals and two 5ths and a 10th in the pre championship
💙 Claire did some of her best dancing on the nationals stage after moving to premier only a month ago
💙 Ivy completing 8 dances on two days earning a 5th, two 7ths, a 9th and a 10th and did great at helping organize awards!

Lots of fun was had by all I am very proud of everyone!

Ivy had a great day dancing at the Gathering of the Clans on a beautiful, sunny Canada Day in Pugwash medaling in all 4 of her dances. Next stop: SDCCS!

Ivy was in Moncton today dancing at the first Highland Games of the season. Due to the downpours it was moved inside but that didn’t impact Ivy! She came away with two 1sts and two 2nds 🥇🥇🥈🥈

What a weekend! Ivy and Claire competed on both Saturday and Sunday and did amazing. Ivy earned medals in all 4 of her dances both days in a large group of 6 year olds and Claire danced her first ever premier competition and placed 4th runner up in the Thistle Open Championship and 4th runner up in the Maritime Open Premiership. So proud of these dancers.

On Monday, six of our adult dancers (Lauren, Emma, Maddi, Alexandria, Breagh and Callum), along with dance friend Anna, performed at Casino Nova Scotia for a function by Munden Enterprises. That same day Alexandra and Callie travelled to Belgium with the RCMP H Division Pipes, Drums and Dancers as part of a European tour where they will be performing at a number of locations through Belgium and France.
