What an incredible day at Gymnastics Nova Scotia’s Gymnaestrada 2026! 🤸✨

With over 100 participants and a full house of spectators, today’s event was a true celebration of gymnastics, creativity, and community. From inspiring performances to the amazing energy in the crowd, it was wonderful to see athletes of all ages and abilities come together to share their love of the sport.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the participants, coaches, volunteers, families, and fans who made today’s event such a memorable success. Your enthusiasm and support made this year’s Gymnaestrada one to remember!

What a fantastic morning at Gymnastics Nova Scotia’s first-ever Open Competition! 🎉🤸

It was incredible to see athletes come together to challenge themselves, showcase their skills, and, most importantly, have fun and step out of their comfort zone! The energy, encouragement, and excitement throughout the competition made for a memorable event.

A huge thank you to all of the athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families who helped make this a success. A special thank you to Will Black from Halifax Alta Gymnastics Club for spearheading this event. We can’t wait to see this event continue to grow in the years ahead!

Last night, Gymnastics Nova Scotia was proud to celebrate our Canadian National competitors for Team NS and Special Award winners for the 2025 and 2026 seasons!

While not everyone was able to join us, we were thrilled to see such a strong turnout as we recognized the incredible dedication, perseverance, and achievements of these outstanding athletes.

Congratulations to each of our National Team members and our Special award winners; we’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what next season has in store!

Happy International LGBTQI+ Pride Day from GNS 🏳️‍🌈

Pride began as a movement for equal rights and acceptance, and has grown into a global day recognizing progress toward inclusion and respect for all people.

At GNS, we value creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to be themselves.

Today, on National Indigenous People’s Day, GNS acknowledges and honours the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.

We recognize the importance of learning, listening, and reflecting on the lands we live, train, and compete on. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Indigenous voices, achievements, and traditions, and we remain committed to respect, inclusion, and ongoing awareness within our community.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at GNS!

To our dads and father figures; thank you for everything you do. For the early mornings, long drives, support at meets, encouragement after tough days, and believing in us always. We couldn’t do this without you. We’re so grateful for you today and every day!

🙋‍♀️ Volunteers Needed – June 28!
Gymnastics Nova Scotia is looking for volunteers to help make two exciting events a success on June 28:
🤸 Open Gymnastics Competition 9:00am
🌎 Gymnaestrada 1pm

Whether you can help for a half day or the full day, your support is greatly appreciated and helps create a positive experience for participants, families, and our gymnastics community.

Some examples of what we are looking for would be help with set up/take down, working the BBQ, admission, picking up/returning the sound equipment (involves heavy lifting), in case that helps!
