Call for Bay Wind Regatta Volunteers
The Bay Wind Regatta is being held July 18 and 19. It is St. Margaret Sailing Club’s premier youth sailing event, welcoming young sailors from across the Maritimes and Eastern Canada. This long-running regatta combines competitive racing, skill development, and community spirit, bringing together sailors, coaches, officials, families, and volunteers for an exciting weekend on the water.
We are looking for volunteers to help make this year's Bay Wind Regatta a success. Whether you can assist on the water, in the clubhouse, with registration, hospitality, or event support, your time and effort will make a difference. Join our volunteer team and help create a memorable experience for our young sailors. No prior experience is required for most roles. Sign up here: https://www.baywind.smsc.ca/volunteers.

Call for New Keelboat Racers
Have you ever thought about trying keelboat racing but weren't sure where to start?
St. Margaret Sailing Club is looking for more boats to join our Keelboat Racing events. You don't need a full crew or years of racing experience to get involved. We have plenty of experienced sailors and enthusiastic crew members who are ready to help and eager to get on the water.
Whether you're interested in learning the basics of racing, improving your sailing skills, or simply enjoying a different side of boating, this is a great opportunity to give it a try in a welcoming and supportive environment.
If you have a boat and would like to participate, we'd love to hear from you. Follow the link for more information: https://www.smsc.ca/keelboat-racing

St. Margaret Sailing Club Needs a Summer Club Attendant
St. Margaret Sailing Club would like to hire a Seasonal Club Attendant. This position is supported by the Canada Summer Jobs Program so it is limited to those 30 years of age or younger.
The Seasonal Club Attendant has an important mix of indoor and outdoor member-facing duties. The attendant is responsible for ensuring the club’s buildings and grounds are welcoming for club members and guests, and rental clients, during SMSC’s peak season. The Attendant provides barista and bartender services to members and their guests, and to rental clients, during set hours. (Serve-Right Certification required)
Additionally, suitably qualified candidates could operate club power boats to offer occasional tender service to visiting yachts and respond to VHF radio calls, but member-facing activities (hospitality) are primary duties.
Base 35 hrs/week. Wednesday through Sunday workweek. Opportunity for extra hours in support of facility rentals.
$19/hr + 4% vacation pay + controlled tips from bartending/barista work.
Applications to [email protected]
Applications will be reviewed upon receipt.

Need a Place to Keep Your Boat on the Bay?

· Mooring rentals are $615 per season, up to 15,000lbs displacement; $800 for 15,000 to 25,000lbs displacement
