✨August Clean-Up THANK YOU✨ Every August when the horses head to summer camp, we have the opportunity to clean the barn from top to bottom! This is also a time where we can complete repairs that cannot be done with the horses in the barn. This work could not be done without the dedication and help from our amazing volunteers, THANK YOU!!! We would also like to thank Happy Harry's for their generous donation of paint for the stalls!

Join your four-legged hosts as you explore specially commissioned works inspired by horses, nature, and the Lancer spirit of community and connection. Experience a gallery where art celebrates the horses—and the horses bring the gallery to life. Tickets are $50+tax.

All profits go to the Therapeutic Horses and every artwork sold brings us one hoofprint closer to purchasing a new therapy horse, creating new opportunities for healing, confidence, connection, and building better lives for years to come.

For 90 years, Halifax Lancers has been building better lives through horses in the heart of Halifax. As Canada's only urban non-profit riding school, we help thousands of people of all ages and abilities build confidence, find connection, and experience healing through youth riding lessons, therapeutic riding, and Equine Supported Wellness programs.

Today a non-profit riding school, the Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers (renamed the Halifax Lancers in 2021), has grown and changed over time. What hasn’t changed is how much the Lancers enrich the city.

From putting on special performances for orphans in their earlier days to offering equine-supported wellness and therapeutic riding programs, the Lancers make a point of giving back.

The Bell Road stables are a rare sight in a downtown core, and even those not affiliated with the riding school are encouraged to stop and enjoy the calm that can come from spending time with horses.

Before there were riders, there was a founder. Pay your respects where the story began, and keep your eyes open for a touch of gold. ✨👀

The hunt is on! The horses left a few more shoes around the city when they left for vacation so we have extended the hunt to the end of August!

Three golden horseshoes have already been found... 47 are still waiting to be discovered! 👀 If you've found a shoe, reach out via socials or email [email protected] to let us know!
