A reporter from The Coast - Halifax/Kjipuktuk tracked us down in Gorsebrook Park to talk to head instructor Xian Niles about the rise of HEMA in Canada.

Congratulations to Coach Liam, who has been certified by the Cateran Society as a Level II Mentor in Old Style Broadsword of the Stage Gladiators! We're proud that our coaches continue to deepen and broaden their knowledge of historical fencing.

This also officially makes Liam our club's designated wyldecard!

Reminder to harvest your smallswords soon! Don't let them grow into longswords or your garden may become infested with German fechtschülers throwing zwerchau everywhere.

Congratulations from the club to our sword dad Xian, who took home double gold this weekend at the Manitoba Highland Gathering! Thanks to our hosts Wolves Den Historical Fencing for organizing a top-tier event!

NFA was thrilled to participate in Maritime Sword School's Moncton Highland Games this past weekend!

11 of our fencers competed in tough bouts with some sterling competition from clubs across the region! 3 of 4 gold medal matches went to nail-biting sudden death finishes.
