If you havenā€™t heard the buzz, @skatefantom just released a magazine in which they played a drinking gameā€”drinking every time someone in a skate video ā€œstepped upā€ or failed to ā€œlock in.ā€ And Iā€™m angry about it. Because these are skaters of influence. Skaters that beginners look up to. And they have ADMITTED that they make fun of skaters like me. That videos like mine are only good for a laugh. An excuse to get drunk (which is a whole separate conversation). This article is exclusionary, cliquey, and makes beginners feel like they arenā€™t good enough to post clips because they canā€™t do tricks perfectly. Honestly, real mean girl vibes. And Iā€™m not here for it. I am a beginner. MOST of us are beginners!!! EVERYONE was a beginner at some point. And I refuse to be ashamed to be seen trying.
