What a fun race! Some wrong turns, a little lost and a lot of laughs.

It’s time for everyone to line up for the start and it’s starts raining! Ok… not too bad, then it starts raining harder, and harder! Now we have a real adventure race. Maps are wet, plans are washed away, keep moving and do your best!

Good thing the rain lasted a short while and the sun came out for the rest of the day.

It was nice to see everyone get out of their comfort zone and push their limits, we could have done without that huge climb to Crowley lake though right?

I got the chance to speak to everyone and everyone had a different plan, a different outcome and a different challenge.

Thank you all for coming out to the Apex Adventure Challenge 2026 event. You better get pumped for 2027! We have a great plan so far and will open up registration soon.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence, this is the time to grab your team and get in.

On August 29 at Kivi Park, teams of 2 or 3 will take on a mix of:

🚵 Mountain biking
🥾 Trekking
🛶 Canoeing
🧭 Navigation

We have both a Short Course and a Long Course, so you do not need to be an experienced adventure racer to take part.

The biking is mostly non-technical gravel, the short-course trek stays on trail, and the long course adds some off-trail navigation for teams looking for more of a challenge.

This is Sudbury’s only adventure race and it’s one of those events that’s way more fun once you’re actually out there doing it.
