I used to HATE DMs. 😖

Sliding into someone’s inbox felt awkward, pushy, and icky. Every message I sent made me worry:

“Am I annoying them? Am I coming off desperate? Ugh, I hate this.”

And asking for the sale? Forget it. That was pure anxiety.

Then something changed. 💡

I realized selling doesn’t have to feel pushy. It doesn’t have to be scary.

I started doing three things differently:
1️⃣ Listening instead of pitching.
2️⃣ Responding with intention instead of scripts.
3️⃣ Letting my leads lead the conversation.

And suddenly… the impossible became normal.

Here’s a story that blew my mind.

I was DMing a client who was scared to invest. She told me:

"I don’t understand why I’m doing this, but I feel like you can help me, and I’m going to do it."

She paid $750 in full.

But here’s the kicker… during the same conversation, she asked about upgrading her package. 💥

Her total investment jumped to $1,200, which she paid the following month!

And this? It’s not a one-time thing.

After I learned how to sell without being pushy, letting my leads guide the conversation, moments like this became regular occurrences.

The lesson:

Selling in DMs doesn’t have to feel icky.

✅ Listen with care.
✅ Respond with intention.
✅ Let your leads guide the conversation.

When you do this, sales happen naturally. People are drawn to work with you because they feel understood. Because the next step feels right—not forced.

Trust that God is guiding these conversations. Trust that He’s already planting seeds in hearts before you even send a message.

When I stopped trying to “make” a sale happen and leaned on God’s guidance, DMs became not just a marketing tool—they became a way to serve, grow, and fulfill purpose.

I remember staring at the mentorship program I knew God was calling me to which was a $7,500 investment. 😳 I hadn’t even made that in a year. Fear gripped me. How could I possibly afford this? Can't I do something cheaper? Less scary?

I asked my husband if I could do it, and he said, “Go outside. Relax. Listen to this podcast episode and then we’ll talk.”

I went back in and said, “I want to do it.” He asked the question that changed everything:

"Do you feel like you could make a profit from this investment?"
I said, “I don’t know, but I’m confident I can make it happen.”

Then came the bank. First, they declined me. I thought, Well, that’s it. But I didn’t give up. I asked to speak with someone else....they approved $5,000. Not enough. I asked again. Finally… God made it happen. I was approved for the full $7,500 with zero income history.

I still get chills thinking about it. There is no logical reason I should have been approved but God knew I was ready. and made it happen 🙏 That night, I signed up.

Within two months, I made back that investment and prior to that, I was lucky to hit $500 a month! I don't share income stories very much, but I want to show you what IS possible when you let God lead instead of your fear.

Here’s what I want you to hear: Fear will scream, but God’s power is louder. He will provide, guide, and open doors you never thought possible. You just have to trust and step forward. 💛
