September is Hunger Action Month, an opportunity to understand why hunger is growing in communities across Ontario - because record high food bank use in Dufferin County is only part of the story.
At Dufferin Food Share Grand Valley, we see every day that the root causes of hunger are being driven by public policies that affect people and families’ ability to make ends meet.
But by understanding how poverty and hunger are connected, we can take meaningful action that works towards lasting change.

During September, we encourage you to take action to end hunger in your communities in four ways: Educate, Advocate, Volunteer, Donate.

Today, we celebrate the young people in our communities. While they may have different experiences and circumstances, they share many of the same hopes for their future.
This International Youth Day, let's listen to young voices, create space for their participation, and build communities where every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
