Golden Curling Club

Our Junior League had 18 sessions this curling season on Wednesday afternoons with 24 students experiencing the game of curling.

Big Thanks to our 4 volunteer coaches who make our Junior league a BIG success for the kids & the club.

The Golden Curling Club had another successful year. We had 93 registered members (including 17 junior curlers), 17 private rentals for a total of 244 people and 14 nights of Friday night drop in curling for a total of 208 people. We hosted our annual Open Bonspiel in January with 20 teams and our year end Funspiel with 12 teams. We also had 39 classes from Golden Secondary School & Lady Grey School come to learn the sport of curling.

A HUGE THANKS to all our Volunteers!!! Because without you, none of this would have been possible.

Whoever STOLE our sandwich board from the intersection by the old court house, please return it. The Golden Curling Club is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers to keep the sport of curling alive in Golden.

Our open Bonspiel last weekend was a great success with 20 teams participating. The team “locked and loaded” won the bonspiel (picture on top left) and team “Roddy and the Rowdy Boys” got second place (picture on top right). Team “Curling Lassies” were the consolation winners (picture on bottom left) and team “The McBs” were the consolation second place winners (picture on bottom right). A big thank you to all the teams who curled!
