Kicking Horse Paddle Festival is an annual event celebrating the beautiful whitewater of the Kicking Horse River and Rocky Mountain water ways. Camp, watch some river films, eat some campsite BBQ dinner, win some prizes, learn some new skilz, steeze your boater cross, run the river, and campsite party! $10 Entry - Wildwater Adventures, Flexpeditions & Whitetooth Brewery Presents: Rapid Media's annual Reel Paddling Film Festival. It showcases the world's best paddling films to audiences in Canada, United States and around the world. The films inspire people to explore rivers, lakes and oceans, push physical and emotional extremes, embrace the lifestyle and appreciate the heritage of the wild places we paddle. Intermediate/Advanced Women’s Whitewater Kayak Clinic with Professional Kayakers; Katrina Van Wijk & Brenna Kelly (both CKC Instructor Trainers). Working to use the water to your advantage, becoming a more precise and smooth kayaker. We will have Friday to get to know each other and work on our basic techniques; rolling, strokes, boofing. Moving into Saturday we will push our boundaries and get prepared for the Kicking Horse Paddle Fest’s Boater Cross. If you wish to partake in the boater cross, we will help coach you through the race as a bonus! Friday June 2nd 2-5pm Saturday June 3rd 9-Noon (Finishing at BoaterX race at Portage Shotgun Rapid)

Columbia Basin Trust, Level 6 & Aquabatics presents the 2017 Kicking Horse Paddle Festival. Wake up at the riverside campground, stretch like a cat, grab some grub and slide into your boat and paddle the Kicking Horse River. Challenge your friends at the Portage Shotgun boaterX & the Bareback Bronco Race. We will have a riverside lunch and carry on to the lower canyon. Eat some BBQ grub, win an award and bid on the paddlers auction. That night at the campground, BYOB, Vengaboys Themed camp party with Dirty House DJ's and your sweet dirty feet dance moves.
