Final hooray today for our Character Development Chapter on Citizenship!

We are taking a temporary pause on our kids programs (Bullyproof classes) while searching for a new certified instructor, but we are ending this chapter with immense gratitude:

Coach Jed: Thank you for years of stellar instruction across Little Champs, Jr. Grapplers, and Combatives. We’re grateful you are staying on the mat with us in Master Cycle!

Coach Keetah: Thank you for keeping our admin running smoothly and assisting on the mats. Best of luck with your fall studies, don’t forget to visit us when you are in town!

We expect this to be a brief pause and look forward to welcoming our young grapplers back as soon as possible.

Today we officially wrap up the Respect Chapter in our Character Development Program! For the past two months, our Little Champs and Jr Grapplers have been working diligently on their points sheets.

Always adapting and improving, we introduced a mini assignment this chapter for anyone who honestly admitted they hadn’t been tracking at home. Swipe through the carousel to see some of their awesome reflections.

It’s honestly tough to keep a straight face reading answers like “no potatoes on the mats” 🥔🤣, but it also brings happy tears seeing their thoughtful responses and watching them grow both in their jiu-jitsu skills and as little humans.

What could be better than amazing food, an open mat, and a belt promotion? 👀 Not much!

Today, the Gibsons Gracie Jiu-Jitsu family celebrated our first annual potluck picnic! There was endless food, nonstop smiles, and amazing community connections. Our youngest started last summer at 3.75 (he was very specific about this! 🤭) and our eldest, well, let’s just say he is basically the dream NINJA grandparent everyone wishes they had!

Today’s promotion showed exactly how much confidence our youth program builds. A massive congrats to our newest Yellow Belt, who tested with incredible detail and confidence in front of everyone! Our little crew is growing up disciplined, respectful, and skilled. Look at our littlest champ who started last summer at 3.75 and can now crank out 17 armbars in a 2-minute round!

As part of our Character Development Program, our students have been working hard on their Respect chapter over the last two months learning new habits and taking control of their wellbeing.

To celebrate their dedication, students who completed the challenge are invited to a fun party to play games and officially earn their Respect patches! 🏆

Next up: In July and August, we move into the ‘Citizenship’ chapter of our curriculum.
