North Halton Girls Hockey Association

The North Halton Girls Hockey Association is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Nick Muffitt.

Nick coached with the Twisters for over six years, across both House League and Rep, often taking on multiple teams as both a parent and non-parent coach. He was named Twisters Coach of the Year for the 2023-24 season, and this season he was set to coach both the U18B and U22A teams as a non-parent coach.

Nick was an exceptionally dedicated coach who regularly spent extra time working with players. He believed in developing not just strong hockey players, but strong people — and his impact on so many over the years is clear in the outpouring of love and support we’ve seen.

Our association sends our deepest condolences to Nick’s family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. We especially send our thoughts to Nick’s daughter Gwen, a long time Twister player. He will be deeply missed.
