Alright everyone, we're less than a week from our biggest race of the year and we need your help! For a $10 ticket, you could end up with quite a weekend package including a Blackstone grill and Zean Dutcher has thrown in a team hat and shirt as well. Instructions are at the bottom of the photo and you've got a week to get your chance!

We're at it again! The AMT Drivers are attempting to raise money for our biggest race of the season! On Sept 6, we will be doing 100 laps (Twin 50s) for the George Fitzpatrick Memorial at Speedway 660 before the ProStock 250.
This is to be split between our drivers evenly to assist with costs of running this race in memory of one of the biggest pioneers of our division!
Get in on your chance to win this ultimate Speedweekend package! The draw will be done live on September 3!

Race Recap: Round 7 I promise I'll get back on schedule with these.

The Atlantic Modified Tour returned to action at R&R Speedway - Miramichi for Round 7, where we battled a super hot and slick track all day long. From the moment we unloaded, the car did not want to cooperate, forcing us to chase setup adjustments all day. We threw a big change at the car right before the heat race, and it made a major difference so we took it even farther for the feature.

We started outside of the front row in the heat and finished with a 3rd place finish in a pretty calm heat.

We started 3rd in the feature and had enough pace to stay in the top 5. Early in the race, we narrowly avoid getting collected in an incident right in front of us. We battled on a couple restarts and had enough to move into 2nd but not enough to make a move for the lead. Ultimately, we secured another podium with a 2nd place finish.

Congrats to Zean Dutcher and Yves McCray on rounding out the podium.

Thank you to Rick Leighton who flew solo as crew while not feeling well on a brutally hot day. As always, a huge thank you to all of our sponsors that make this racing thing possible. We couldn't do this without you and appreciate all your support (Tagged in comments because Facebook doesn't let me tag them all for some reason):

Race Recap: July 11 Spud Speedway

The Atlantic Modified Tour headed south (west) of the border to visit Spud Speedway for the first time in 10 years! I'd say this was the most fun track I've raced since I got behind the wheel of a car and the way we were treated there was incredible!

We had 4 practices so we took 2 of them to dial in the car where it felt good, skipped the 3rd practice and put Wade in the car for 40 laps on our backup tires. As this wasn't a points race, we drew pills for starting position and we were lucky enough to start on the pole.

The heat race had lots of excitement and battles throughout and despite one caution, we were able to hold on to the front and grab a heat win.

We made no changes for the feature since the car felt great. Starting on the pole again, we knew we had to jump out front fast because if we lost the lead it would be hard to get it back. That's what happened and we had a good battle with Joe Hoyt for 2nd before setting up camp on the bumper of Zean Dutchers's #55. We were right there for a good chunk of the race but ultimately couldn't get enough of a ran to make a pass and we finished 2nd, putting on a great show for the fans along with tight racing all throughout the field.

Congrats to Doug Matchett and Zean Dutcher on their podium finishes.

Thank you to Wade Craswell and Rick Leighton for being my crew in the pits.

As always, a huge thank you to all of our sponsors that make this racing thing possible. We couldn't do this without you and appreciate all your support!

It was a successfull trip to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, and we can't wait to do it all again next year for the incredible fans! Next up, a much needed weekend off and then back on the road to Miramichi for Round 7!

I owe everyone 2 race updates since it's been so busy I haven't had a chance to write them up!

July 4 660 Race Recap:

In the heat race we started in 2nd and in a pretty uneventful race we fell to 3rd and finished there for the checkered flag.

We made a couple of adjustments for the feature to try and help with the car in the brutal heat and ultimately changing the rear tires can us the feel we needed. We started 3rd and fell back early in the race before we were able to start clawing back towards the front. We reracked after a caution and had an awesome battle with #7 Tristin Harris. When the checkered flag flew we finished 3rd and just didn't have enough time to catch the top 2 cars.

Congrats to Doug Matchett and Chris Wilson, on their podium finishes.

Thank you to Rick Leighton for being my crew even with a broken generator and intermittant working fan.

As always, a huge thank you to all of our sponsors that make this racing thing possible. We couldn't do this without you and appreciate all your support!

Race Recap:

The Atlantic Modified Tour tackled a new track and made the trip to Oyster Bed Speedway in PEI. A great facility, great people and very unique track that I certainly wasn't expecting. We used all 3 practices to try and get the car driveable and we managed do just that.

In the heat race we started in 2nd were able to grab the lead for a lap or two. The 55 made a pass for the lead and then we had a great battle beside the 17 on the bumper of the 55. We ended up 3rd at the checkered flag.

In the feature, we were fighting rain but were able to dry the track up enough to get our feature in. Starting 2nd again, I was able to jump out to the lead and thought I might be able to try build a bit of a gap but an early caution had us lined up on the inside against some very fast cars. I got stuck on the bottom and found my way to 5th and that's where we would stay until the end of our 27-lap, rain shortened feature.
Congrats to Chris Wilson, Joe Hoyt and Zean Dutcher on their podium finishes.

Thank you to Wade Craswell and Rick Leighton for being my crew in the pits and my extended PEI family of Brodie, Allison, Hunter and Simon, for all their help! As always, a huge thank you to all of our sponsors that make this racing thing possible. We couldn't do this without you and appreciate all your support!

Back to Speedway 660 for Round 5 this weekend to try and replicate our last result there! Photo from Reegan MacAulay.

Well it's not Glenn Urie's Pur and Simple - Fredericton, but still need to support the brand that helps us out so much!

Our weekend in PEI at Oyster Bed Speedway was amazing and we can't thank the track enough for bringing us back for the first time in 15 years! We also couldn't have made this happen without Arcs and Sparks Island Wide and Kenny Snow's Oyster Bed Esso for coming on board as our sponsors. The race may have been 8 laps short because of weather, but it was incredible none the less.

Full update coming when we're home and unpacked!
