Can you believe it's September already?! We have some important schedule changes this month so please marks your calendars.
There is no Zumba on Monday Sept 7 (Labour Day) or Thursday Sept 10 (because of the FREX).
Our new playlist will start the week of Monday, Sept 14th πΆπ
Our space at the Cultural Centre is not available on Sept 24th so we will be dancing on Wednesday, Sept 23 for that week only.

As someone who runs a small business, I think it's important that I live my values and am transparent about my practices. I believe in supporting artists and protecting the environment. I do not use music or graphics made with generative artificial intelligence (AI). I select my music carefully and do my absolute best to screen for AI-generated content. I design my graphics using Canva - they may not be fancy, but I spend time making them myself!

Some of us have wondered what the future of the exhibition grounds means for our Zumba classes. Here's a lovely update from The Cultural Centre β€οΈ

A note for our community π
You may have seen recent news about the future of the Exhibition Grounds and the lands around our neighbourhood. Since then, a lot of people have reached out with the same question: what does this mean for The Cultural Centre?
The short answer β nothing changes for us.
The Cultural Centre owns both our building and the land at 28 Saunders Street, and this remains our home. We continue to operate here, serve our community here, and plan for the future here.
The Cultural Centre remains open, active, and ready to welcome you β the same spaces, the same programs, the same partners, and the same warm front door that has been part of this community for years.
While the neighbourhood around us may evolve, our commitment to the community remains the same. We will continue to provide a place where people can gather, celebrate culture, share ideas, host events, build connections, and feel at home.
Change can bring questions and uncertainty, and we understand why people may be wondering what the future holds. For The Cultural Centre, our focus remains right here at 28 Saunders Street, where we intend to continue serving our community for years to come.
Neighbourhoods grow and change, and ours is no exception. Through all of it, we'll remain what we've always been: a welcoming home for gathering, culture, and connection in the heart of Fredericton's west end. π

Important noteβZumba class on Monday, August 24th at REDS Recreation will be in the Multipurpose Room (MPR). The MPR is on the same floor as the Hatheway Studio (where we usually dance), just on the other side of the walking track. Looking forward to dancing with you tomorrow!

I've taken a weekend vacation to PEI. But don't worry, Colleen will keep the party going with you on Monday, August 10th at REDS Recreation.
Our Thursday class at The Cultural Centre will go ahead as usual.
See you when I get home! π

When I saw these two friends walk into class dressed the same (purely by coincidence) I was excited. When I realized I also matched, I was over the moon π€©

What a beautiful day celebrating Pride in Fredericton! I loved seeing so many people I know through dancing (both Zumba and burlesque) at today's event supporting our LGBTQIA2S+ community ππ
