NB Selects Provincial Teams

Congratulations to U15 NB Select, Ellie Violette for making the U16 Atlantic Challenge Cup team! She’s also been crushing it at the U15 Women’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championships this week, talk about multisport athlete! 💪🏻 way to go Ellie!!

🥎Meet your NB Selects! 🥎

🥎Kiera Daley from KV Dynamite! Kiera's covering all corners of the diamond, from outfield to catcher. Though, Kiera hasn't always been a catcher, but she's always been a great teammate, suiting up to catch in her 6th season after noticing there was only 1 catcher on her team, to help out and give her teammate a break Kiera suited up! And she's so glad she did because she couldn't imagine not catching today!

🥎Nevaeh Tracy from Oromocto Silverbacks! Nev loves the game, the challenges it brings, the friendships she makes and her coaches “inspirational” speeches. This pitcher extraordinaire would advise her younger self to "Buy mom some catching gear" she's going to need it for all the at home practices, capped off with her fav post game snack - coffee ice-cream!

🥎Brennah Daken from the Fredericton Twins! An athlete with many nicknames, Kirky/B Money shows up ready to play. She's a dominant 3rd base and good luck stealing when Brennah's on the dish. What's going on in her head when she's playing? Music, more specifically Writings on the Wall by Role Model 🎶

🥎Annie LeBlanc from Memramcook Dynamite! A true utility player, playing wherever the coach puts her, she gets the job done 💪 When she's on the field, there are 3 things going on in her head "I should catch the ball, I hope the ball comes to me and what do I want to eat after the game?" the answer is ice cream incase you're wondering!

🥎Avery Umstadt from KV Dynamite! The softball field is where she feels most confident and strong. She pushes herself to continue improving, by putting the work in she knows good things will come! Fun fact? She's not just a ball player, she's a competitive dancer too!

🥎Ellie Violette from the North West Cyclones, locking down 3rd base since 2015! When she's out on the field, she's focused on each play and trying her best while having fun, that's the important part! And if she makes an error, a coach once told her "have the memory of a goldfish" onto the next play!

🥎Audrey Robinson from the Southern Blackbears and the U15 NB Selects! You'll find Audrey at 2nd or in the outfield. A piece of advice she'd give her younger self "to work hard and have fun!" A great mindset for not just softball, but in life too! 💪

🥎Julie LeBlanc from Memramcook Dyamite and U17 NB Selects! Her mom got her started back in 2015 and she hasn't looked back, becoming a pitcher and outfielder to watch out for! What's going on in her head when she's playing? "Don’t chop at it, it’s not a sword, you’re not a sword" 🤺 Fun fact: Julie carries a stash of 11 softballs (and 2 baseballs) in her softball bag, and she knows how to use a chainsaw!

Meet your NB Selects!

🥎 Sacha Malatestinic from the Southern Blackbears! When on the field, Sach likes to reminds herself to not get frustrated, to have fun and maybe win a few games 💪 After a game Sacha craves a good salad and a good book! Keep an eye out for Sach's big hits and bigger defensive plays! 💣

🥎 Peyton Levesque from the Fredericton Twins, playing for the U17 NB Selects! She's a Pitcher/Utility player with a ton of heart, her in-game motto is “It’s not about the name on the back it’s about the name on the front”. Peyton knows she wont remember the stats or scores of games, but the trips with her friends and all the memories will last a lifetime!

🥎Lilly “Lil-Dawg” Moore from the U17 AA Fredericton Twins. A righty batter locking down the middle infield since 2015! Lilly’s love for softball started when her parents signed her up to stay active during the summer. Now? She’s all in, playing for the love of the game and the joy of spending summers with her best friends. Post-game reward? A Booster Juice smoothie to refuel of course🥤

🥎Karlee “Kiki” Larsen: Centerfield for the U15 NB Selects and the U17 AA Oromocto Silverbacks! Kiki’s softball journey started after watching her friends play against each other. Now, she’s hooked on the fun of playing with friends and the thrill of the game! When she’s on the field, all she’s thinking about is: "I can’t wait to eat after this!" (Probably a cold Coca-cola and Cilantro Rice Bowl to celebrate!)
