ARSENAL WON 4–2… BUT EZE HAD A NIGHT TO FORGET

Max Dowman may have stolen the headlines against Ipswich, but I want to talk about Eberechi Eze.

Yes, Eze was involved in the opening goal — playing the one-two before Dowman produced that brilliant finish. But overall, it was a frustrating night for a player we know is capable of so much more.

In 76 minutes, Eze had 40 touches, one shot, one chance created and lost possession 10 times.

I'm certainly not writing him off because of one performance. But when opportunities come, particularly in games like this, you want to see a player of Eze’s quality take control of the game and make his case for more minutes.

So what is it?

A bad night at the office?
Still adapting to Arsenal?
Or are we yet to see Arteta find the best role for Eze?

REMEMBER THE NAME: MAX DOWMAN!

16 years old. Two goals in the Carabao Cup. And another piece of Arsenal history. 🔴⚪

Max Dowman scored twice as Arsenal beat Ipswich Town 4–2, taking his senior Arsenal tally to 3 goals.

But this isn't just about tonight.

Dowman has already been breaking age records at Arsenal and in English football — and he's doing all of this before his 17th birthday.

The talent is obvious. The bigger question now is how Arsenal manage his development.

Really disappointed with the performance of Victor Gyokeres.

Ipswich 2:4 Arsenal. Max Dowman got 2 goals, Madueke and Merino scored 1 each before Ipswich fought back to score 2.

Gyokeres couldn't even won his duels. Passes were off.
Man looked off pace. More work needed, Gyok. We need you firing again.
