Trappers Athletics is back for the fall season!

WELCOME BACK, TRAPPERS!! We are so happy to have you all back in school.

Sept. 7, 2021 - Day 1 Announcements:

Senior Boys and Girls Volleyball Tryouts will take place Wednesday, Sept. 8, Thursday, Sept. 9, and Monday, Sept. 13 in the gymnasium from 3:45 to 5:15. Please come out if you are interested in playing!

Any high school ladies interested in trying rugby with the Fort McMurray Knights, please meet tomorrow, Wednesday, September 8 at 3:45 in Miss Tremblay's room 228.

There will be a meeting of the Merc Media Team for any students interesting in broadcasting, video production, photography, animation, or logo design in the ComTech Lab Friday, Sept 10th at lunch. Please see Mrs. Price if you have any questions.

There will be a brief meeting tomorrow (that's Wednesday) after school in Room 204 for Cross Country Running. If you like to run or want to try it, come on out. We will begin running on Thursday after school.

The Safe Zone, Merc's Gay-Straight Alliance, will meet this Thursday at 3:45 in Mrs. Budd's room (room 201).

Trapper Pride Day this Friday! Wear trapper colors to show your school spirit.

Congratulations to former Trapper Max Poole on being named to the South Atlantic Conference's Commissioner’s Honour Roll. Students are required to maintain over a 3.30 GPA to be eligible for this award.

MHU places over 150 student-athletes on SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll Mars Hill placed 156 student-athletes on the 2020-2021 South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Fort McMurray student wins Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship A Fort McMurray high school student has won a national post-secondary scholarship which is awarded to 170 students across the country.

Our Unified team received a grant from Boccia Canada to purchase a set of Boccia Balls. Boccia is one of the most inclusive sports offered by the Special Olympics. It was great to see everyone participating and learning this wonderful sport.
