12 local Fraser Valley athletes have arrived in Ottawa to start competing at the Canoe Kayak 2026 National Championships.

BUT, just because they are far away, does not mean we can’t cheer.

Check-in in here for updates on medals, competition, and more. We would love to see you cheering. Tag us, comment on their successes, and show them your support!

Can’t wait to see what the Fort Canoe Kayak Club can do on the national stage!

For 364 days a year there is a FRIENDLY rivalry down on the Bedford Channel between rowers and paddlers. 🛶🚣‍♀️

One goes backwards. One goes forwards. There’s a reason we follow flow pattern. 👏🛶

However, one day a year, we hold a switch boat day. The rowers get to try out our sprint boats and we (the paddlers) get to try out row boats!!!

Yesterday evening, both clubs came together, laughed, got wet, and ate some hot dogs.

Thank you FLYRS Rowing Fort Langley Youth Rowing for co- hosting this amazing community bonding event.

We already can’t wait to try again next year!

WOW! What a summer.☀️🛶🚣‍♀️

As we come into our last week of summer programming (for most programs), we would like to thank everyone who came out and gave our programs a try!

We have been rebuilding, like everyone, from COVID-19’s impact on sports and programs- and finally hit where we have been working so hard to get to.

Thank you to our participants, Fort families, board members, coaches, and athletes for all that you have put into our programs.

We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish next year.

DONT FORGET- we have Fall programs available for registration now at www.fortcanoekayak.ca

SUMMER CAMP SPOTLIGHT 💡🔦✨

Did you know every Thursday afternoon we load up our canoes and voyager and head to a secret mud beach for an afternoon of exploring, mud slides, sandcastles, mud spas, and plenty of muddy fun?!

Make sure to bring some extra towels for the car… but we do have hoses and the river to get most of the mud off!

It’s one of the highlights each week of camp‼️

CAMP IS FULL THIS YEAR (and waitlists are maxed out)… but check back in December when registration opens for next year!
