The end of August is always a bittersweet time in the Community Services and Facilities Division.

Many of our student staff are preparing to head off to university or college, while others are getting ready to return to high school.

Throughout the summer, our students fill important roles across our community - at the Pool 🏊, Summer Camps, the Museum and Rainy Lake Square and the Sorting Gap Marina 🍦.

Their energy, enthusiasm and hard work help make our summer programs, facilities and events possible.

To all of our students: thank you for everything you contributed this summer!

We wish you nothing but success as you head back to school and embark on your next adventures. We hope to see many of you back again next summer! ☀️

Another great Marina season has come to an end!

The Sorting Gap Marina will officially close for the season on August 31st at 8:00 PM.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing Marina staff for making this another wonderful season! We wish you all the best in the upcoming school year and look forward to welcoming you back next season!

We have digitized our waiver process for adults and youth! Youth waivers must be completed by a parent or guardian.

Adult (18 and Older) waivers will expire after 3 years.

Youth (Under 18) waivers will expire after 1 year or at their 18th birthday when they can complete an adult waiver.

Summerween: A Boo Before School was a HUGE success!

We had an absolute blast dancing the night away and showing off our fantastic Halloween costumes, jackets and snow pants not included, of course!

The evening was filled with fun, face painting, delicious pizza, veggies, fruit, drinks, and plenty of snacks to keep everyone fueled for the festivities.

We wrapped up the night with a costume and dance contest, where a few lucky winners took home some totally great prize baskets!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make Summerween: A Boo Before School such a fun and memorable night!

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!
