YOUTH DISCOVER SCUBA PROGRAM
Here is the much awaited info
AGE : 10-17 years old
14 and under must have a parent or Guardian at
the pool.
PREREQUISITE: Must have basic swimming skills and be comfortable in the water.
A medical waiver and on line padi training must be completed on line prior to pool day..

You will need to have transportation to and from the pool. This will be either the port colborne Y or the Kwanas pool in St Catharines.
There will be one class a month with a max of 8 youth a month. The expected date of the first class open to the community will be a Sat in October.
HOW TO APPLY:

Info to be included in the email:
Name of youth and name of parent guardian
Email address (this will be the email used to do online Padi training, contacting for updates and selection for the program.
Phone number
What town you live in
Age
Sizing (sm med, lg) for clothes and shoe size. This will be for equipment rental.
One paragraph on why you want to do this discover scuba program with the Fort Erie Underwater Recovery Unit.

Youth will be chosen based on the application information.
We are also looking for community sponsors that would like to help out so this program can continue well into the future. Covering the cost of the pool time, online learning and equipment rental. We have had an overwhelming response to our program which is wonderful. Please be patient with us. Our Chief Diver is away for a week and will get to all the emails when they are back. We are very excited about this new venture.

The Fort Erie Underwater Recovery Unit has a new program up and coming for the youth in Niagara. We will be offering Discover Scuba free of charge to a limited number of youth aged 10-17. This is an exciting new program. We have been fundraising and have some great sponsors that have helped with this new program. More Info and how to apply will be available soon.
