August run club schedule 🔥

Doubling down on fun activities the last 2 weeks of August!

August 20 Fernie Trails Alliance is hosting a Thirsty Thursday race (regular run club will happen as well!). We will be joined by Dig Deep Endurance Fuel to try out their products!

August 27 is our social and the folks GearHub Sports have a special run club— snakes and ladders edition— in store for us! As always we will provide snacks and bevvies at the shop after the run!

THANK YOU Elk Valley Ultra! Through ultrasignup donations, purchases of past years EVU/Stag Leap merch, and profits from this years merch, we raised $1364.30 for Michael Moore fundraiser for Team Alzheimer’s UK.

Mike is taking on London 2027 as part of the team in memory of Stag Leap founder Abi Moore and her father.

👟 Shakeout Run
Join GearHub on Friday, July 23 at 6:00 PM for a relaxed shakeout run starting from the shop. The team from No Nonsense Nutrition will be there with race fuel samples so you can test what will be available at every aid station on race day.

Today is a heavy day for the Stag Leap family as we remember Abi Moore — founder, trail spirit, and someone who positively influenced everyone she met.

Abi dreamed up the Elk Valley Ultra, and we’re honored to bring back a version of the race on July 25, 2026. We’ll also revive the Run Abi Run spirit award (first introduced at Black Spur Ultra in 2024) to honor someone who’s been a positive influence on the trails — whether they got you into the sport, crewed you through an ultra, or simply embody Abi’s humbleness, encouragement, and inclusivity.

has generously donated a Silva Free Headlamp (1200 lumens) for the recipient. We’ll accept on-site nominations at prizing — the nominee doesn’t need to be racing but must be physically present on race day. We encourage you to take a moment at the awards ceremony mic to shout out your person; if you’d rather not speak, email us and we’ll recognize them for you.
