🥎 THROWBACK THURSDAY — AUGUST 27, 2011 👑

15 YEARS AGO TODAY, AN ERA CAME TO AN END.

On August 27, 2011, the legendary King and His Court took the field for the final time in Walla Walla, Washington — bringing an incredible 65-year run to a close.

Created by the legendary Eddie Feigner, the King and His Court became one of the most famous barnstorming teams in sports history. With only four players on the field, they travelled the world showcasing incredible fastpitch pitching, hitting, entertainment and showmanship.

Feigner passed away in 2007, but the Court carried on, with longtime pitcher Rich Hoppe eventually taking the circle for that historic final game.

And when it was all over, there was one final tribute to The King.

The keys to the team van were placed on home plate.

The journey had come full circle — ending in Walla Walla, where the King and His Court story had begun 65 years earlier.

Randy Frame has been an incredible mentor to this group of young men, sharing his knowledge, experience and love of the game with them over the years. The lessons they’ve learned from Randy have helped shape them into the players, and the team, they are today.

When the Elks brought home gold from the 2026 U17 Canadian Fastpitch Championships, there was one more gold medal that needed to find its way home.🥇

This championship wouldn’t have been possible without the people who invested in these boys long before they ever stepped onto the field in Surrey, and Randy is undoubtedly one of those people.

Thank you, Randy, for the countless hours, lessons, encouragement and belief you’ve given this team. This gold belongs to you, too.❤️💛

Congratulations goes out to the Toronto Jr. Batmen for winning Softball Canada - CASA’s U23 Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship for a second straight year today at Bob Van Impe Stadium. With their win today, they ensure that Ontario based teams have won six out of the last seven times U23 nationals have been contested. . . . .
