There’s a version of competitive curling that people see: the sheet, the sweeping, the shot making.

Then there’s the version that happens in group chats at 11pm, in shared spreadsheets, and in email threads with logo files attached. Less glamorous but just as necessary.

Here’s a look at that side of it.

Stu Sells Oakville Tankard Recap

That’s a wrap on the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard. We finished the weekend with a 2–3 record, with our run coming to an end Sunday afternoon after a loss to Team Zardini Lacedelli of Italy.

It was another great weekend of competition and a valuable opportunity to get some more games under our belts early in the season. We now have a few weeks off from tour events before we’re back on the ice at the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard on October 8th.

Next stop: Stu Sells Oakville Tankard

In just a couple of days, we’ll be back on the ice together for our second tour event of the season!

This year’s event features 22 teams in a triple knockout format, with all championship games taking place Monday.

We’ll kick things off Friday at 8:30 AM against Team Brunton of Northern Ontario.

Hogged Rock KW Fall Classic Recap!

We finished pool play with a 2-2 record, and after a strong shootout, we earned our spot in the playoffs.

Our playoff run came to an end in the Round of 10 with a close game against fellow Ontario rink Team Duncan. While we would have liked to keep things going, it was a great weekend to get back on the ice together and shake off the rust!

We have a quick turnaround and will be back on the ice this Friday at the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard. Schedule to come!
