Sneaky Horse Traction Augmentation Ltd.

Over the past couple of years, and especially recently, Sneaky Horse has run into some serious challenges dealing with cross-border shipping and supply issues. Between the elimination of de-minimis exemptions, increased customs complications, lost or returned packages, excessive brokerage “surcharges” on small shipments, and months spent disputing incorrectly applied duties, things have been far more difficult than they should be.

To be completely honest, these issues have cost us customers, delayed shipments, forced refunds, and created long wait times for some of you. It’s been frustrating and at times extremely discouraging, even considering giving up, but instead of letting it sink us we decided it was time to adapt and fix the problem at the root.

Over the past several months we’ve been restructuring how Sneaky Horse operates.

With the help of Aaron and a few others who stepped up to lend a hand, we’ve moved a large portion of our component sourcing and machining into the United States. Bearings, disc springs, bushings, cups, and now the shafts, are being sourced and machined in the U.S so they're readily available there for you guys. This dramatically reduces the cross-border headaches that have caused so many delays, issues, lost packages and frustration.

We’re also working on getting Aaron set up to help handle service and rebuilds in the U.S., which will also help racers avoid the nightmare that cross-border shipping has become.

I will still be responsible for all complete Sneaky Horse products and final assemblies, but this new structure will allow us to get parts into racers’ hands faster and more reliably during the season and during off season maintenance periods.

We’ve also worked directly with CBP to secure a binding ruling on our products so carriers cannot reclassify them and apply incorrect duties. They’ve been very helpful in getting that sorted out. Our stuff is USMCA certified and duty free, however when carriers drop the ball at customs often it ends up exposing us to incorrectly applied duties, taxes, delays and returned shipments. Having CBP in our corner is helping a lot, and we continue to do what we need in order to smoothen out cross border shipping and introducing American based redundancy on our parts is a huge part of that.

Right now there is still a small backlog I’m working through, as we have been ironing out some details with carriers to have shipments streamlined. A few guys have been waiting far longer than they should have, and my main priority right now is getting those orders finished first before anything else. I expect to have everything cleaned up over the next couple of days.

To everyone who stuck with Sneaky Horse through this mess, I seriously thank you. Your patience and support mean more than you know.

We’ve taken the time to fix the problems and build a better system so we can keep delivering the traction products you guys rely on.

And a big thanks to Aaron, again, and everyone who reached out offering help along the way. It has made a big difference and helped me avoid giving up on this.

Jason Miller with JRJ Welding and Shawn Kennedy with Sneaky Horse have combined their industry experience in the oil and gas sector, and have developed a removable wrench head kit that fits a JET 673914 telescopic handle for doing common sizes of pressure piping bolt up.
This is a more robust design than a crows foot and offers exceptional clearance and leverage, perfect for tightening well-head fl**ge bolts, valve on valve connections with limited room against the valve body, and otherwise stubborn areas where a conventional wrench does not offer sufficient leverage, and a ratchet or breaker bar will not fit.
Open and closed heads, with 1 1/16", 1 1/4", 1 7/16", 1 5/8", 1 13/16" and 2" wrench sizes sold as a kit in a pelican case for $1200. That is roughly $80/wrench head + pelican case for shipping and transport.

-Jets telescopic handle locks with a quarter turn locking mechanism.

The combination of the jet handle and our heads makes any bolt up related task a breeze, with industry leasing functionality, taking up less space than strike free leverage wrenches, and coming in cheaper than them as well.
