Today is the day! We speak to The Council members at the Community Services Meeting today! This is our only shot (besides your fantastic letters-keep them coming by the way) to shout out the importance before budget deliberations in November!

With only one week from idea to picnic blankets on site, it's clear that there is pent up demand for a REPLACEMENT facility for Scona Pool and that IT'S TIME for ROLLIE MILES REC CENTRE to get BUILT! Thanks to everyone who showed up, volunteered and for all the media coverage!

Join us on August 10th as we head to Community and Public Services Committee to chat about item 8.1, about our neighbourhood and about Council's need to make good on a 2022 promise to renew amenities and replace Scona Pool as the Scona District neighbourhoods continue to grow in density due to infill redevelopment, new neighbours moving in (yay!) and the increasing need for small scale rec that's accessible by foot, bike and transit (because of course, a lot of us in this area of town don't drive or are vehicle-light).
