Having a good relationship with food means sometimes choosing dessert and other times choosing the salad 🥗
There’s lots of claims and “hacks” around fat loss for women in their 40’s… backed by a supplement and after 40 work out program.
Yes things can be harder.
But the best “hacks” aren’t “hacks.”
They’re just basics and are backed by science 🧬

Actual things I tell people who are fixing their relationship with food Pt 21 ❤️
It’s not about our relationship with food.
It’s about the one we have with ourselves.
The trend in the way we eat is actually a reflection of our own needs, emotions, comfort, self worth, discipline, joy. Being nourished is about being sensible & rational not just “nutrition.”
I used restriction as a way to cope. It was the one thing I could control in an uncertain world & made me “feel better.”
Building a good relationship with food will come from practicing asking less about the food itself but what is the chronic restriction or overeating keeping you from feeling. It’s usually the behaviour that shows up because you avoid what’s driving it.
I promise, when you do this it shifts the blame away from food itself & into a more workable space to figure that out & change it 🖤
Idk who needs to hear this but you don't need a new plan.
You just need to be more consistent and patient with the one you have ❤️

True lol
Also, I say “Train to get bulky like a man.”
You won’t but you’re more likely to grow a little muscle if you stop trying to minimize it like it happens overnight.

My weekends consist of client check ins, biz things & school (crunch time atm).
I used to train 6-7 days a week.
Which was WILD.
But I hated taking rest days.
Now.. I don't treat recovery like an option. It’s not something I have to earn for “being good.”
It's already programmed in and part of the deal.
I love my "days off” and look forward to them 🖤
My client who navigates high functioning ADHD struggled doing her work outs so it made it really hard for her to build consistency.
She has great food balance and a good relationship with it. Just getting in her work outs was challenging.
She’s been consistent with them for 6 months now and this one thing she does I thought I’d never tell anyone to do tbh.
But this just happens to work for her because sometimes you do need a different approach 🖤
